We’re Here To Help
We provide accommodation for Irish students spending their J1 summer in the U.S. With hundreds of Irish students living under one roof, we ensure a safe, social, and supportive environment throughout the summer. Each building has an onsite J1Accom representative who is contactable 24/7 to assist residents or parents back home in Ireland whenever needed.
How does my child sign up?
We typically open applications in March for the upcoming summer. We post all of our most up-to-date information on our Instagram @J1Accom. If you are not on Instagram, you can register your interest here, and we will send you an email as soon as applications open.
You want to know that they are safe:
In each of our J1Accom buildings we have an onsite rep that helps the students with any questions they might have, such as integrating into American culture, getting to work or something as simple as where the nearest shop is.
Our payment plans are fully inclusive of all bills (electricity, gas etc.), and the structure allows each student to be fully paid up before they land in America, meaning they can enjoy themselves and experience a new culture without having to worry about paying rent or utility bills.
You want to know where they are:
At the same time, you’re probably a bit nervous. This may be their first time abroad on their own or away from home for such a long time. While it may be character building, you don’t want them to struggle to find accommodation or get scammed by a rogue landlord.
Most apartments in America come unfurnished, but all of the J1Accom buildings come fully furnished, along with onsite laundry rooms and common areas for the students to enjoy themselves and meet new people.
We learned from our own experiences:
I know how you feel because I was a J1 student in the past and my dad had to bail me out when we got scammed by a bogus landlord. It was our own fault really but it opened our eyes to the ways of the world and we swore it wouldn’t happen to us again.
That’s what got us into this business, and why you can trust us. Having learned the hard way, we know the pitfalls and how to avoid them.
